History of Advantec MFS, Inc.

1917

  • Toyo Roshi Kaisha, Ltd. is founded in Utsunomiya-shi, Tochigi Prefecture as the first manufacturer of filter papers and Test papers in Japan.

    1933

  • Toyo Roshi Kaisha, Ltd. is established.

    1965

  • Bolstered by the technological capability of filter papers, test papers and fraction collectors, the company enters American and European markets.

    1974

  • The Los Angeles Office of Toyo Roshi Kaisha, Ltd. opens. The company begins full-scale inroads into overseas market.

    1979

  • Toyo Roshi International, Inc. (Los Angeles) is established as a U.S. corporation.

  • Micro Filtration System Division (Dublin, California) and Far East Division (Chuo-ku, Tokyo) is set up.

    1984

  • Advantec is introduced as the uniform brand of the group, thereby strengthening and expanding the group.

    1985

  • Toyo Roshi International, Inc. is moved to Dublin, California (to the location of the Micro Filtration System Division).

  • The Far East Division is moved from Chuo-ku in Tokyo to Utsunomiya-shi in Tochigi.

    1995

  • In addition to the name of Toyo Roshi International, Inc. being changed to Advantec MFS, Inc. (Dublin, California), the Far East Division (Utsunomiya-shi, Tochigi) is unified into Advantec Toyo Kaisha, Ltd. (saito-ku, Tokyo), and becomes the Overseas Trade Division of Advantec Toyo Kaisha, Ltd.
